My name is Nichole Wright and I am the choir teacher at James Breckenridge and Lucy Addison Middle Schools here in Roanoke City! This is my first year teaching and am so thankful and excited  to be working with your students this year. I graduated from Radford University with a Music Education Research Scholar designation degree in the spring of 2022. I am a firm believer that the choir room is a place for everyone and strive to make my classroom an inclusive space where everyone can learn and grow together.

I think the best way to hear about our program is from the mouths of our students:

Why are choir and music important to you?

"Choir is really fun and it teaches me about things I didn't know I could earn about." -6th grader

"Singing has been in my heart since I was little and I want to be in choir so that I can learn and get better at something I love." - 6th grader

"Choir teaches us about a lot of things that you wouldn't even expect. We learn math and science and other languages. We also get to learn about other people and their cultures and how singing brings people together." - 8th grader
