Reminder to Parents
When checking out your child,
please have a photo ID with you to verify identity.
Students should not be dropped off to school before 8:20 a.m.
Students will not be permitted to enter the building until 8:25 a.m.
James Breckinridge Middle School exists to serve the unique diverse academic, physical, social, and emotional needs of students. James Breckinridge Middle School faculty and staff will provide a safe, supportive learning environment with opportunities for each student to develop the skills and the knowledge to become a responsible, successful citizen.
Parents, please do not park in the fire lane when dropping and/or picking students up from school. The loop in front of the building will not be accessible during arrival and dismissal times. Thank you.
21st Century Program at James Breckinridge Middle School
James Breckinridge Middle School is pleased to have a comprehensive after school program serving all students struggling in math and Reading. The Breckinridge 21st Century Boys and Girls Club operates Monday-Friday, 3:45-6:00pm. Full academic remediation days are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, where students receive academic assistance in math and Reading. Wednesday and Friday are devoted to enrichment workshops, where students are exposed to web design, advertising and marketing, fitness, African art and culture, conflict resolution, and much more. Please sign your child up for this program by going to the "21st Century Learning Center" link located on this webpage, download the application, complete front and back and return it to the school. We will contact you once we have received the completed application.
